Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C) announced its partnership with SkillStorm last Wednesday.
With tech giants like Facebook, Google and Amazon Web Services now based in Ohio, it's become apparent that Ohio requires a trained tech workforce. Tri-C's and SkillStorm's partnership aims to help Ohioans meet the demand for qualified tech talent. Tri-C will offer AWS, Salesforce, and CompTIA courses which are powered by SkillStorm and its team of expert instructors.
“This is pretty special, because it’s allowing us to offer some training we’ve not been able to offer before,” said Charles Dull, Tri-C IT Center of Excellence associate dean. “We’re expanding what we already do and offering a wider range of skill sets.”
This initiative complements the KeyBank Foundation's recent $2 million grant to Tri-C, which serves the purpose of providing access to tech workforce training and addressing Northeast Ohio's employment and earnings gap.
